What this site is

OutageMap shows customer outage counts published by electric utilities and outage reports submitted by visitors. It is an information service only. We are not affiliated with any utility or internet provider named on this site. Utility and provider names are trademarks of their respective owners.

Not for emergencies

Do not rely on this site to report an outage or a hazard. Reports you submit here appear only on this site and are not sent to any utility or provider. To report an outage, use your utility's or provider's official channels. If you see a downed power line or smell gas, stay away and call 911 or your utility's emergency line.

Accuracy

Utility counts are read from each utility's public outage feed and are typically refreshed every few minutes. They can lag, be revised, or be unavailable, and a feed may fail without notice; please confirm with your utility. Visitor reports are unverified. The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of this site is limited to CAD $100.

Your reports

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA or UK) to submit a report. By submitting, you confirm it reflects your own current experience and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, aggregate and display it. Do not submit false, automated, or third-party reports, or include names, addresses or other personal details. We may remove reports and block sources that abuse the form.

Content and links

You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link. You may not scrape, mirror, or bulk-extract this site or its data, or access it by automated means, without our written permission. Outage data remains the property of the utilities that publish it. Links to official utility and provider pages are provided for convenience; we do not control those sites.

Advertising and analytics

The site may show ads and uses analytics as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes and law

We may update these terms by posting a new version here. These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms are the entire agreement between us regarding the site.
